MORNING ANNOUNCEMENTS

Seniors – Please listen to the following announcement for important information and dates that pertain to senior activities:

Obligations must be cleared to participate in any Senior Activity.

Senior Final Exams (Per. 3 & 4) – Thursday 05/22

Senior Final Exams – (Per. 1 & 2) Tuesday 05/27  

Mandatory Graduation Rehearsal – Wed., 05/28 at 8:00 a.m. in the WHS Auditorium

                        Mandatory Graduation Rehearsal – Fri., 05/30 at

                        11:00 a.m. at the Nova Convocation Center   

                        (Students will have to pay for parking.)                     

 

**Students who do not attend the rehearsals will not be permitted to participate in the graduation ceremony**

Graduation – Sunday, 06/01 at 2:00 PM at the Nova Convocation Center (Students and parents will have to pay for parking)

***Students will be allotted 5 graduation tickets each.  Requests for additional tickets are being accepted at this time***

Seniors: Please remember that all signed graduation behavior letters and extra ticket requests are due to Ms. Kefford by this Friday, May 16th.

Kefford 05/07 – 16

 

Dual enrollment application deadline has been extended.  Those students that have already applied will receive a one on one conference with Dr. Wilson prior to May 21, 2008.  Since the Dual Enrollment applications have been extended any Junior may come to Guidance and sign for the application with Ms. Werbin before May 16th.  A BCC representative will be meeting with all students applying for Dual Enrollment on Tuesday, May 27, 2008.

Attention all AP Students – Don’t forget you will need a photo ID to take all AP exams.

 

The next NHS meeting will take place on May 19th in the Auditorium.  This meeting will include an informal induction for all new members and new officers.  There will NOT be a meeting on May 8th due to AP testing.

Gaudet 05/05 – 05/19

 

Seniors who have documented 250 or more service hours can pick up their Silver Cord in Room 531 after their exams on either May 22nd or the 27th.  All recipients must bring a picture ID with them to obtain their cord.

Nolan 05/07 – 15

 

Attention Wildcats! If you love food, fun and hanging out with friends you need to come join your fellow Wildcats at Landlubber’s Raw Bar and Grill in Cooper City for Western Week.  Pick up a coupon from your teacher or Mrs. Boulger and come support the Wildcats.  All profits will benefit Western High. Come out this Saturday, May 10 – Friday, May 16.

Hey Guys and Gals!  Are you ready for an evening that’ll rock all of your senses?  Then come on down and check out your Western Band, Color Guard, Drumline and Dance Team tonight, May 14th at 7 PM.  It’s sure to be a night you’ll never forget.

If you ordered an “Invisible Children” t-shirt and have not picked it up yet they have arrived!  We’re selling them at the green counter all week for $10.  Buy a shirt and support the invisible children.

Yearbooks are now available for pickup during A & B lunches only in Room 210.  A student must show either their student ID or their driver’s license to receive their yearbook.

It’s Otis Spunkmeyer cookie time!  The warm, moist chocolate chip cookies will be sold for the last time today at the green counter in the cafeteria.  The cost is 2 for $1.

Attention Students – We still have a few seats left on the bus for Kennedy Space Center this Friday, May 16.  If you’d like to go see Ms. K. in Room 1127 right away.

Koutsoyannis  05/12 – 05/15

 

Attention Band Students! You can pay for your 2008/2009 Band Fair Share online through May 28th.  Go to westernhigh.org; click on the link to the e-store; select Western High School and then follow the screen prompts.  You will need to have your student ID number available when making a payment and you may not pay online of you owe obligations.  Be sure to keep your receipt.
