Annabel is the first place winner in the State of Florida for HOSA Research Persuasive Speaking for her speech on the national obesity epidemic. She is the only minor appointed to the Youth Education and Safety Advisory Board, which enhances the learning environment for youths through special projects and fundraising initiatives. Currently, Annabel is working on analyzing the pressing issues facing county schools as well as awarding grants to assist children in their educational achievement. She has been chosen as a member of Congressman Ted Deutch’s Congressional Youth Cabinet to learn about the policy making process and discuss solutions to national and local issues facing Americans today. Annabel’s goal is to promote urban and economic mobility by increasing educational opportunities and improving financial literacy throughout the nation. With a 3.93 GPA, Annabel dreams of attending Yale, UPenn or Georgetown to major in Political Science and International Relations.
