Callie Bogaards Earns Title of Student of the Month
Each month Western faculty and staff nominate a senior that has demonstrated leadership, academic success and rigor, and a great attitude to be named “Student of the Month.” Each student achieving this honor is awarded with a certificate as well as a scholarship from the Weston Rotary.
Callie Bogaards is an outstanding young lady with energy and exuberance that is truly contagious. She has excelled both academically and socially, earning a 4.2 GPA and close to 3000 volunteer service hours. Callie is a member of Student Government Association, a Senator for her class, and member of National Honor Society.
She has been the Team Captain for the Relay for Life fundraiser that supports the American Cancer Society, a volunteer for the Harvest Drive where she has helped needy families within our community, nominee for Nestle’s Very Best Youth Award, and a member of the National Society of High School Scholars. In addition to her involvement with all of the aforementioned organizations, she has been dancing for 14 years and is a Student Dance Teacher for almost 5 years.
Callie is an incredible student who has so much to be proud of! We certainly are proud of her and know she will meet success in college and in life. Congratulations, Callie!!
