Daniel
Balmori was honored as September ’s Student
of the Month.
Daniel is exceptional young man, both
academically and socially. He maintains over a 5.0
GPA and is ranked third in his class. He is currently
the President of GREET and National Honor Society
and has previously held offices in Student Government
Association, Human Relations Council, and the Words
of Encouragement Club.
Daniel demonstrates great leadership, not only at
Western High School but also as a member of the Youth
Leadership Broward program. Daniel has been involved
with this organization as a member, graduate, and
Community Projects Chairperson. He has also served
as a Raices de Esperanza High School delegate and
a participant and graduate of the Young Diplomats
program.
In spite of his heavy load of academic classes and
leadership involvement, Daniel manages to give back
tremendously to the community. He has accumulated
over 1100 community service hours to date and continues
to give of his time. Daniel has been the recipient
of countless awards, including the U of M Alumni
Association book award, the AP Scholar of Distinction
award, the America Legion’s Billy Anderson
Memorial Scholarship, and Youth Leadership Broward’s “Leader
of the Year.”
Daniel is an incredible young man, demonstrating
what a well-rounded student looks like. We are so
very proud of you, Daniel! Congratulations on a well
deserved honor!!
