Alicia Waag Teacher of the Month for April

Alicia Waag is one of Western’s most active faculty members. During her four year tenure at Western she has taught Physical Education, Peer Counseling and worked with our ESE department, providing students with tools to live productive and healthy lives. After school she has been extremely active with Western’s athletic programs, serving as Women’s Soccer Head Coach for four years, Women’s Softball Head Coach for two years, and Flag Football Assistant Coach for one year. Her efforts on Western’s athletic fields have established her as one of Broward County’s brightest young coaches.

Ms Waag played soccer for and graduated with her undergraduate degree from Boston University and then attended Nova Southeastern where she coached Nova’s Women’s Soccer team and earned her MBA. During her rare free time, Ms. Waag enjoys spending time with her two dogs, reading and attending theatrical productions.

We thank Ms Waag for her dedication and congratulate her on this well deserved honor!
